CDM Regulations 2015
Achieve compliance with Safety Assistance.
The Construction Design and Management Regulations place a great deal of responsibility on duty holders within the construction industry. Duty holders – which can include clients, designers and contractors – may not have the sufficient skills, knowledge and experience or indeed sufficient manpower to effectively discharge the duties placed upon them by these regulations within their business and construction projects.
By appointing Safety Assistance Limited to undertake or assist you with discharging your duties, you can rest assured that you are meeting the requirements of the relevant legislation and on time.

When is a construction project 'notifiable'?
A construction project is notifiable if the construction work is expected to:
- last longer than 30 working days and have more than 20 workers working at the same time at any point on the project or
- exceed 500 person days
Why is a commercial client important in ensuring construction is carried out in a way that avoids harm?
The commercial client has a major influence over the way their project is procured and managed. Regardless of the size of the project, the client has contractual control, appoints designers and contractors, and determines the money, time and other resources available. Because of this, Construction Design and Management 2015 makes a commercial client accountable for the impact their decisions and approach have on health, safety and welfare on their project.
What is a principal designer?
A principal designer can be an organisation or individual who is appointed by the client (commercial or domestic) to take the lead in planning, managing, monitoring and coordinating health and safety during the pre-construction phase (design and planning stage) of a project involving, or likely to involve, more than one contractor.
How do I know Safety Assistance have the skills, knowledge and experience to assist with CDM?

Safety Assistance Limited is proud to operate nationally with offices in Liverpool and London.
